Abstract (EN)

Purpose: Gynecological cancers in women related cancers are an important female health problem with morbidity and mortality rate. In our country, gynecological cancers are among the top ten in terms of both incidence and mortality. Our aim in our research; The aim of this study was to investigate the anesthetic applications, postoperative mortality, morbidity and complications of gynecologic oncologic abdominal surgery and to determine the risk factors that may cause the development of these complications. Material and Method: The data of the patients who underwent elective gynecological oncologic abdominal operation between 2010 in 2017 were obtained by retrospective analysis. Patients under 18 years of age and lack of data were excluded from the study. Evaluated parameters; demographic data, comorbidities, preoperative anemia, Charlson Comorbidity Index, anesthesia management, complications, postoperative period and morbidity were evaluated. Patients are divided into two groups as living and non-living. Results: Four hundred sixty six patients were evaluated. The number of living patients was 330 and the number of patients who did not live was 86. Preoperative albumin 3,68 ± 0,69 g/dl, intraoperative crystalloid 2500,00 ± 1744,12 ml, colloid 500,0 ± 434,53 ml, wound infection %7, postoperative blood transfusion was %18 and hospital stay was 9,0 ± 9,73 days. Postoperative chemotherapy ratio, preoperative low albumin levels, intraoperative colloid administration, wound infection, postoperative blood transfusion ratio were found significantly higher in the non-living group. The amount of intraoperative crystalloid administration was significantly higher in the living patient group. Conclusion: Anesthesia applications, postoperative mortality, morbidity and complications were investigated in gynecologic oncologic abdominal surgery, nowadays, anesthesia management is becoming more important in cancer surgery. It requires multidisciplinary approach for the management of peripoerative patients, especially anesthesiologist and surgeon. However, this may contribute to hospital stay, morbidity and recovery time. Keywords: gynecology, oncology, anesthesia, mortality, morbidity, complications
