Abstract (EN)
This study was prepared as a Master's Thesis at Institute of Social Sciences at Celal Bayar University. This study is a transliteration and Turkish index of the book named This study has three parts. The first part involves the writer's life and the detailed introduction of the book. The second part involves the transliteration, exercises, stories, index and the conclusion part under the title of the book's investigation. The third part involves a genuine text added to the end of the book. As there is not detailed information about the writer, the information presented is limited to our present study and findings. Although Johannes Jacob Manissadjian is actually a botanist, he used Ottoman Turkish grammar. His writing such a book beyond his field makes the book striking among the reference books. The texts in the book are understandable for the readers being supported either with exercises or stories. Additionally, the book was supported with reading texts, exercises and dictionary which helped teaching Turkish to be more effective. For the above mentioned reasons, this study is among the resources to refer having the quality of being a source to the existing studies and enlightening Turkish learners. In this study, the book named Mürşid-i Lisan-ı Osmanî'' was introduced taking these characteristics into consideration, the index was prepared by making transliteration of the parts in Ottoman language and evaluations were carried out.
