Abstract (EN)
The founder of liberal political philosophy John Locke and The founder of conservative political philosophy, Edmund Burke's thoughts are affected not only British politics and political tradition, they has also affected the world. Unlike the Continental European Enlightenment, Locke and Burke have been vanguards the formation of two different traditions of political philosophy in the British thought practise, where epistemology shifted to sensationalism. They tried to legitimize the limitation of the state/government in terms the essence of their ideas. While Locke made a great revolution in the history of thought by saying tabula rasa, Burke, who lived a century later, influenced many people because of the content of the concept of "sublime". The relationship between the posibility of knowledge and the limit of the knowledge capacity of the person affects the content of the state/government directly or indirectly. The state is a limited organization for both philosopher, the state can not emerge from designated and restricted areas according to both philosophers. When the restricted area is abandoned by the state, revolution must be made to return the state/government back to the restricted area. The relationship between the Law of Nature and the contract and the state, and the relationship between the Suprume with imagination and the state shows that their epistemology and political philosophies how parallel they are.
