Abstract (EN)
The main topic of this thesis will be formed, how to be formed as the social institution which is one of the significant issue of sociology science, for investigating John Rogers Searle who is a philosopher in terms of philosophy of mind. This study is a qualitative research which is qualified with the Searle's philosophy of mind and the studies of the topic of social reality. Searle, who gives a point of view to unsolved body – mind problem, discusses the passing procedures with the integrative perspective to theory which is given biological qualitative from private individual to the construction of social institutions. Searle constitutes his own theory criticizing both traditional materialists and dualists and presenting their inadequacies to one of the basic problems on the philosopy of mind which is body – mind problem. Searle's approach to the consept of consciousness forms the centre of the philosophy mind which is prsented by Searle. Consciousness, according to Searle, reveals itself via the consequence of progress in mind. This means that it reduces that a biological phenomenon. Although Searle tackles with the biological phenomenon for consciousness, the most important feature of the definition of consciousness is subective and holds to the first person ontology. According to Searle, it forms a person. A different feature of Searle's consciousness concept can interact with the other consciousness while getting over itself as a qualitative. Collective intentionally and social institutions are constructed by means of interaction every person to the other person's consciousness one by one. Searle, who reveals this approach in the mind of philosophy, deals with a social life from micro level to macro level entirely. In this context, it is aimed at the issue of social institutes, and forming new ideas and new problems within the Searle's approaches as a philosopher besides sociological approaches.
