Abstract (EN)

With this thesis, the technical and musical analysis, interpretation, work suggestions and comparison of the early and last piano sonatas of Franz Joseph Haydn, one of the founders of the Vienna School and one of the most important composers of the Classical Era, were handled. The composer's life, music language and artistic development are mentioned periodically and how sonatas are formed are explained. Especially, it is aimed to introduce his early period sonatas that are not known much. Since last period sonatas are preferred frequently, it has been emphasized how to reach a better level in terms of interpretation. English and German sources were intensively used in the literature research. This study, which will help the performer to discover different sounds in sonatas as a result of his understanding of the form and musical structure of the works, will be a useful source in the interpretation of the works. Keywords: Joseph Haydn, Classic Music Era, piano, sonata, interpretation
