Özet (EN)

Undoubtedly, Judith Butler is one of the most important thinkers who left her mark on the last period with her feminist philosophy. She strives to create a radical change and transformation within feminism with the idea of 'alternative agency', which she wishes to replace the 'woman' perception presented by classical feminist understandings. This effort requires women to be reimagined and redefined. Parallel to this, the historical meaning of gender will also change and be rewritten, and the incompatibility or opposition between 'gender' and 'gender' will turn into a synthesis. Butler has an important position in both the content and direction of the feminist tradition with her unorthodox views and the very extreme idea of 'queer theory'. She argues that the issue of 'gender' should not be perceived as a phenomenon determined only biologically or by society, and that when evaluated in all its dimensions, it should be realized that it has the power and structure to overturn social, political, cultural and economic processes. From this point of view, it can be said that her views influenced not only the feminist tradition but also many fields from philosophy to psychology, from politics to sociology. The main purpose of our study, Judith Butler and Feminism, is to examine Butler's views on feminism, to outline the concept of woman, the status of women as a subject, and why women are always the oppressed side in societies, based on her criticisms of feminism and her unique philosophy. In addition, this study aims to analyze, evaluate and discuss how Butler deals with the relationship between heterosexuality and homosexuality, based on the queer theory that overturns heterosexual views and foundations, and in this context, the understanding of gender. Key Words: Judith Butler, Feminism, Gender, Queer Theory, Sex.
