Abstract (EN)

This master's thesis examines the integration of wireless charging systems into urban electric buses from technical, design, and economic perspectives. The study addresses in detail technical and operational parameters, particularly receiver system positioning, battery layout, thermal management, interior design, electromagnetic security, urban integration, and sustainability. The static and dynamic application options offered by wireless charging technology are evaluated for their potential to optimize bus battery requirements, increase range, and reduce total cost of ownership. In addition to literature reviews, transformation planning and return-on-investment analyses are conducted using a sample scenario developed specifically for the city of Adana. The findings demonstrate that wireless charging systems are a transformation tool that will not only transfer energy but also contribute to the creation of a sustainable, safe, and highly efficient urban transportation model.
