Qadı Abd al-Jabbar's proof of Muhammad's prophethood

In this study, Qadı Abd al-Jabbar's Proof of Muhammad's Prophethood examined who lived in hijri fourth century and represent rational thought of Islam, member of Mu'tazila. While establishing his views we benefited mostly from these sources, El-Muğnî fî Ebvâbi't-Tevhîd ve'l-Adl, Şerhu'l-Usûli'l-Hamse ve Tesbîtü Delâili'n-Nübüvve. Our study consists of three chapter. In the introduction subject of the study, purpose, method and sources explained and Qadı Abd al-Jabbar's importance in terms of theology were briefly mentioned. In the first chapter, some notions directly related to institution of prophethood analysed and writer's views on these notions evaluated. Furthermore, Qadı Abd al-Jabbar's proof of institution of prophethood and while proving of prophethood of Muhammad subject of khabar he benefited from were mentioned. In the second chapter regarding proof of prophethood of Muhammad included. In the third and last chapter, some groups critics about family of prophet and his companions particularly batiniyya and Responses of the author to these criticisms aimed at undermining the trust in prophethood were evaluated.
