Abstract (EN)
It is important to determine the experiences of the relatives of the victims in femicides, which is the most dangerous point of violence against women, which has reached very serious dimensions in the world and in our country. It is important to determine the experiences of lawyers, who are in the closest and long-term communication with the relatives of victims after femicides, in this field. This study was conducted through in-depth interviews with 13 lawyers between the dates of April and August with the aim of investigating the experiences and needs of the relatives of the victims through their lawyers, who are the representatives of the relatives of the victims in the judicial process and who are in one-to-one contact with the relatives of the victims after the murder, by means of 24 questions in a semi-structured form. The study was conducted using a phenomenological approach, one of the qualitative research designs. As a result of this study, the data obtained regarding the experiences of the relatives of the victims were categorized and evaluated. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the majority of the women who were murdered as a result of femicide were killed by men with whom they had an emotional relationship, that they were exposed to violence in the pre-murder period but hesitated to apply due to lack of social support, that most of the murdered women had children and that there were many problems faced by children when the mother was killed by the father perpetrator, The data were obtained that the relatives of the victims had different needs in the post-murder period, that they faced situations of unacceptance of the death and the search for justice, that they experienced a violation of the right to privacy with the reflection of the news of femicide in the press and social media, but that this process had positive and negative aspects.
