Abstract (EN)
Today, rapidly developing digital technologies have caused radical transformations from production processes to working styles. This study comprehensively examines the effects of digital transformation on women's employment and analyzes the effects of this transformation on women's labor force participation rates and employment structures. The primary aim of the study is to reveal how digital transformation shapes women's employment conditions and to evaluate its influence on gender inequalities. The research employs descriptive statistical analyses based on secondary data and a comprehensive review of literature. Women's labor force participation rates, sectoral distributions, representation in emerging occupational groups, and entrepreneurial activities on digital platforms are all evaluated. According to the findings, digital transformation presents both opportunities and challenges for women's employment. While digital technologies offer flexible working conditions and new employment opportunities, they also give rise to issues such as the digital divide, lack of technological proficiency, and gender-based digital discrimination. Women employed in low-skilled jobs are particularly vulnerable, whereas those with digital competencies can attain more advantageous positions. This thesis provides practical and concrete recommendations to enable women to participate in the digital transformation more effectively and securely.
