Abstract (EN)
Cosmetic product advertisements are frequently encountered ones in our daily life. Semiotics is exploited in the advertisement analyses, and the feeling felt by the audiences, consumers through the slogans or indicators of the products involve several codes in denotation, connotation or linguistic terms. This thesis study examines the cosmetic products in 2013 March- 2013 June Elele, Instyle, New Beauty and Vogue magazines, television ads, pharmacy regulations and internet ads, and analyzes the fact that the products which are offered to the audiences arouse the feeling of ?becoming perfect?, that the shown models do not have the mentioned problems (acne, cellulite, wrinkles etc.), that they are products and meanings which vary by season (as in the creams which protect from the sun in summer, and creams which protect from the cold in winter) in Roland Barthes? linguistic message, encoded iconic message and de-encoded iconic message which is a semiotic analysis method.
