Evaluation of female high school teachers' work/life balance from a gender perspective: Yunusemre district of Manisa province

The purpose of this research is to reveal the experiences of female teachers working at the high school level on how they achieve work- life balance. The study group consists of 10 female teachers working at the high school level in Yunusemre District of Manisa Province in the 2024/2025 academic year. The data collected from the 10 teachers through interviews were analyzed by dividing them into themes and codes. According to the interviews, female teachers experience work-life imbalance. While childcare and household chores take up a significant amount of space in their family lives, they experience problems caused by the administration and students in the professional sense.Work and family life are intertwined, and boundaries are crossed between work and family. Female teachers, who develop various strategies to achieve this balance , resort to spouse and family support within the household. In the professional field, they take steps to reduce class hours.
