Abstract (EN)

The concept of violence has evolved in various ways since the existence of humanity and has come to the present day. Women are exposed to different types of violence, from verbal, physical, psychological and sexual violence to digital violence. It is seen that the age of technology has made the quality and quantity of violence against women over social media and the internet easier. In order to develop strategies for the prevention of violence against women and digital violence against women in our country, first of all, the real dimensions, factors and characteristics of the problem that arise with technology should be investigated. The solution to violence against women or digital violence against women is not fully known in our country. In this study, it is aimed to find solutions to prevent violence for women who are victims of violence or who may be exposed to violence in order to reduce or eliminate the impact of digital violence against women and social media on violence against women, or to critically evaluate existing legal regulations. In our study, the survey method was used to measure the effect of digital violence against women and social media on violence against women in Çorum province and the obtained data were analyzed statistically.
