Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the COVID-19 global epidemic process on family and women's stress. Content analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The research participants consisted of 20 women determined by the criterion sampling method. Online interview method was used to collect research data. As a result of the research, it was concluded that family and women stress increased during the COVID-19 pandemic process, according to the evaluation of women. When we look at the areas of family stress, it has been concluded that the home quarantine process due to the pandemic has some negative effects on families from different aspects such as economic, psychological, relationships with spouses and children. Follow-up of children's school responsibilities and telephone during the long-term confinement period, It has been concluded that there are conflicts between parents and their children on issues such as computer addiction, and that parents have difficulties in behavior management of their children. In addition, when we look at the roles of woman/wife/mother and their effects on women; It has been found that women's workload on home management has increased, they have psychological problems such as stress, anxiety, fear and sadness, and they have physical/physical problems such as disruption of sleep and nutrition patterns, and weight gain due to inactivity. In addition, it was found that they developed some new behavioral habits such as more use of social media tools, especially cleaning habits, and food stocking. Again, a greater understanding of the value of health and social relationships, It was concluded that they experienced some existential and spiritual changes such as re-questioning life. Based on these results of the research and the findings of the literature, suggestions about support services for families in possible crisis situations are presented.
