Abstract (EN)

In this study, the development of AgNO3 based catalysts for Hydrocarbon Selective Catalytic Reduction System (HC-SCR) and the effect of these catalysts on NOx conversions were investigated. The catalysts are produced from cordierite material by dipping method. For this purpose, 4 different types of Ag/ TiO2, Ag-P/ TiO2, Ag-P-Sn(1%)/ TiO2, Ag-P-Sn(2%)/ TiO2 based catalysts were produced. The chemical and structural properties of the catalyst used were investigated with scanning electron microscope (SEM), surface area measurement (BET) and x-ray diffractometry (XRD) analysis results. The catalysts were tested in the SCR test system at temperatures between 180 °C and 270 °C. The tests were carried out using a 2-cylinder V-Type diesel engine at a constant engine speed (3000 rpm) under loads of 1 kW/ 3 kW/ 5 kW. Ethyl alcohol was used as a reducing agent in the system. As a result, the highest NOx conversion rates were measured at 5 kW load, 270 °C, 30000 h-1 gas hourly field speed, and the highest NOx conversion rate was obtained as 95.58% in Ag-P-Sn(2%)/TiO2 catalyst.
