Comparative land use and planning recommendations in Kalecik (Ankara) and Söke (Aydın) districts

In this study, the thesis named comparative land use and planning proposals in Kalecik (Ankara) and Söke (Aydın) districts was discussed. Kalecik and Soke districts, whose geographical locations are different, located at a distance from each other, are different in terms of landforms, climate, population and settlement characteristics, "do they show differences and similarities in terms of land use?"the question constitutes the main research question of this thesis study. Based on this point, the research carried out; land existence, agriculture, settlement, Mer, animal husbandry, forest, industry, transportation, tourism usage areas under the heading of natural and human characteristics of Kalecik and Söke districts were examined by adhering to the basic principles and principles of geographical research. From behind, the Geographic Information System (GIS) Environment, Land-related information within the scope of some problems and their solution, explained, reviewed the similarities and differences encountered in terms of land use, and natural and human effects on the environment and the development of the Söke District of Kalecik, it is demonstrated in comparison. In Kalecik and Söke districts, as a resuıt of the findings obdained during the basic Research question and the answering process based on this question and the answering process based on this question, it has been determined that there are many differencesin general; Althoungh its geographical features are not similar to each other, some similaritie have been observed. Currently, almost every region of Turkey faces the wrong land use problem. In this study, the current state of land use was revealed and the comparative lands of the two districts were examined, explaining how they should have a use plan and expressing suggestions. The thesis consists of five parts. In the first chapter, in the introduction, the general characteristics of the thesis, the positions and main characteristics of the research areas, the purpose and scope of the research, methods and materials, theoretical and conceptual framework, previous studies, the establishment and development of the research areas are discussed. In the second part, natural elements of Kalecik and Söke are discussed. Using population data obtained from the Turkish Statistical Institute human factors the third section each county's population distribution, tables and graphs prepared economic, industry, transportation, tourism activities were discussed. Chapter Four is based on the findings of the research. Overall evaluation of the study was made as a result of the final chapter.
