Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of medıcal and dıetary complıance on re-hospıtalızatıon and qualıty of life ın patıents wıth heart faılure. The research was done between July 2015 and July 2016. The research universe consisted of 379 adult patients with heart failure who was diagnosed at least 6 months before and have previously hospitalized at least once. The sample is calculated by the known universe sampling method and sample was consisted 161 patients. But the research was completed by 170 patients to reduce the margin of error. Data were collected with Introduction of Patient Survey, The Beliefs About Medication Compliance Scale,The Beliefs About Dietary Compliance Scale and Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnarie. The data were evaluated with descriptive statistics, t test, Mann Whitney test, ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis and pearson's correlation tests. The research results showed that most of the patients were female and married. It was determined that NYHA class III patients are more incompatible than class II patients. It was found that medication and dietary compliance effects on re-hospitalization and medication compliance effects patient's quality of life. It has been determined that patients who has an intermediate level of the quality of life, have good compliance to medication and dietary therapy. It was found that compliance of patients to the medication and dietary decreased the events of re-hospitalization. In accordance with these results, giving training on compliance with medication and dietary by nurses and increased counseling programs may be proposed.
