Humanity has laid the foundations of our age by utilizing fossil fuels in a wide range of areas, from transportation and industry to agriculture and heating. However, due to the limited nature of these resources and the environmental damage they cause, humanity has embarked on new quests. Renewable energy sources have begun to be used as a result of these quests. With the growth of the world's population, humanity's need for energy resources has increased even further. The proper use of renewable energy resources has become a crucial factor in the independence of countries. In this study, a solar power plant (SPP) was designed and analyzed using the PVsyst program for the rooftop of the faculty building on the Turgutlu campus. Three different types of radiation data were used in the analyses conducted with the PVsyst program. For the faculty building rooftop, 247 monocrystalline PV panels were designed as an on-grid system focused on self-consumption, with a 30° PV panel inclination angle. Various analyses were conducted for the system, which has an installed capacity of 147 kWp, using the PVsyst program. Annual electrical energy production: The program's radiation data calculated it as 238,450 kWh/year, MGM's radiation data as 194,017 kWh/year, and Data Logger's radiation data as 149,201 kWh/year. Using the Data Logger data as a reference, approximately 67% of the Faculty's annual electricity needs can be met by the designed solar power plant system.
