Abstract (EN)
Key Words: Energy analyzer, inductive reactive, capacitive reactive, power factor, power control, power control relay Modernization of electric energy installations and remote control of transformer stations became necessary in allocation units, which are established on large areas and difficult to monitor widely, throughout the developments in electrical energy sector. There is a new regulation of Energy Market Regulatory Authority, which is going to be promulgated in 2008. According to this regulation, the percentages of inductive and capacitive reactive powers? rate to the active power percentage shall be reduced. Because of this regulation so many electricity subscribers are going to pay fines. In this thesis study Sakarya University Campus is selected as the sample location. Measurements held in five different transformer stations. The requirements of the electrical installations and possible problems determined. A reactive power control relay is used for remote control and simultaneous data recording in one of these transformer stations. This relay also connected to the University LAN network for monitoring. Every single electric bill of Sakarya University belongs to year 2006 is examined. Possible problematic conditions and the energy policy of Sakarya University are discussed.
