Abstract (EN)
Public employees are emotional creatures due to their nature and they may present different behaviors in the face of various reasons or events. They may have to deal with stress and job dissatisfaction in the organizations that they work. This study was carried out in order to investigate the relationship between the variables of emotional labor job satisfaction and job stress, which the government officers constantly encounter in their professional life. Questionnaire forms with three point scales were prepared to be used in the study; and it was aimed to measure the above-mentioned variables with this questionnaire form. The study was carried out on the border unit personnel, who are employed in Konya province. Frequency analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis were applied to the obtained data via program packets. As the result of the analyses that were applied during the study, it was found that emotional labor behavior affects job stress negatively, superficial behavior affects work stress positively, emotional labor behavior affects job satisfaction positively, superficial behavior affects job satisfaction positively and the emotional labor has positive effect on extrinsic satisfaction. Additionally, it has been concluded that work stress varies in accordance with variables such as emotional labor, job satisfaction and certain demographic variables that are their sub dimensions.
