Abstract (EN)

Increasing financial literacy levels of individuals increases the welfare level of the society and does not interfere with the functioning of the financial system. For example, if an individual knows how to calculate the interest of a loan, draws up a payment plan and makes their payments regularly, the bank giving the loan will take less risk. For this reason, financial literacy has become an important concept in the world countries. Countries aim to increase their financial literacy levels by producing national projects with public, private sector and non-governmental organizations. The aim of this study is to determine the financial literacy levels of public sector employees. For this purpose, a 200-person questionnaire including the personnel of Çanakkale Eighteen Mart University Training and Research Hospital was applied. Anova and t-test were used for empirical analysis. As a result of the analyzes, it was found that the financial literacy levels of public sector employees differ according to demographic characteristics.
