Measurement of Türkiye's cultural-linguistic diplomacy activities in Egypt in the context of public diplomacy (Survey technique)

Globalization, rapid developments in communication technologies, and the end of the Cold War have led to the emergence of a new context in the field of international relations. The changes and transformations in International Relations since the Cold War have also resulted in a differentiation of the traditional understanding of diplomacy. The transformation in traditional diplomacy has paved the way for the emergence and development of Public Diplomacy studies. Based on this, the thesis addresses the theoretical framework of Public Diplomacy. Additionally, the thesis discusses the Turkish presence in Egypt and Türkiye-Egypt relations. In the final section of the thesis, a measurement study of Türkiye's Cultural-Linguistic Diplomacy in Egypt is conducted with the participation of Turks going to Egypt and Egyptians coming to Türkiye as the participant groups. According to the findings of the survey conducted as part of the master's thesis, the Egyptian people have a positive attitude towards Türkiye and Turkish culture and language. This situation makes Egypt a suitable context for Turkish Public and Cultural Diplomacy. In this regard, it is possible to state that there is a potential for development in Egypt for Türkiye's Cultural-Linguistic Diplomacy and soft power initiatives.
