The role and importance of intelligence in the development of public security policies and strategies

This study examines the role and importance of intelligence in the development of public security policies and strategies. The main goal is to understand how intelligence can be used to increase the effectiveness of public security policies, ensure the safety of societies, and deal with security threats. Based on literature review and expert opinions, the definition of intelligence, its functions and its relationship with public security policies were examined. Findings obtained through an analytical approach highlight how intelligence can be used effectively and how security threats can be dealt with. The study is based on the analysis of data obtained from primary and secondary sources with qualitative research method. The literature review was conducted through academic articles, books, and other relevant sources. In addition, examining expert opinions and the preparation and implementation stages of public security policies has become an important method. The findings obtained through these methods emphasize the importance of intelligence in the development of public security policies. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that intelligence plays a critical role in the development of public safety policies and strategies. The effective use of intelligence is an important tool in ensuring the security of societies and taking precautions against security threats. Therefore, intelligence needs to be taken into account and used strategically in the formulation and implementation of public security policies.
