The role of education on the promotions of people working in state hospitals and contribution of promotion on motivation: A researh Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital in İzmir

Due to the property of medical sector, high level and continuous education is needed for the people working in state hospitals and education is accepted both as a requirement and a precondition for the promotion. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the role of education on promotions and motivations of people working in state hospitals. The universe of the present study entitled 'The Role of Education on the Promotions of People Working in State Hospitals and Contribution of Promotion on Motivation' is composed of state hospitals in Izmir. The sample included 329 health workers who were selected from workers in Bozyaka Research and Training Hospital in Izmir with random sample selection method. According to findings obtained from research data, primarily research universe Izmir Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital to be, an essential factor to promote the training of employees in public hospitals in Turkey, and they accepted the necessity, political considerations rather than objective criteria for promotion in the organization while they work, familiar -relative-friend relationships, harmony and good relations with management, nepotik (political affinity) and subjective criteria are reached to be the conclusion that they have thought of to be effective.
