Abstract (EN)

Economic development, especially sustainable economic development is significant for all countries. The essential problems for countries try to provide economic development are internal and external unstable conditions. There must be external and internal balance in order to provide a sustainable economic development and have economic balance. Therefore countries must take measures and follow kinds of policies to provide external and internal balance. There can be inflation, poverty, unfair distribution of income, social explosions is because of the social-economic reasons, economic crash, if there is no economic stability in a country. Although especially developing countries, our country is one of them, meet many difficulties for economic development, the borrowing is very significant for their economic development. Countries have to apply different resources to borrow money for their economic development, if they do not have enough money to go on a sustainable economic development program. The unbalance conditions can be recovered with new external and internal resources. Our country and many other developing countries, if they do not have any policy or program to recover their economies and rebalance macro-economic conditions, they can apply IMF, and they try to reestablish their macro-economic balance with the stand-by agreement of IMF. In this framework, this study will analyze after 2001 Turkey-IMF relations in regard of public sector borrowing requirement with tables and graphs for each years.
