E-government concept in public administration: The case of Sakarya Revenue Office

Abstract (EN)
In recent years, radical changes have occurred about comprehension of public administration and social and economic life as a result of great changes of information and communication technology. This transformation of public administration with the emergence of information technology provides accessibility for the public services and this accessibility has exposed a term named e-government which provides easier and faster accession of informations making life easier. Governments making e-government applications faster to provide resturucting of public administration, efficiency of public services, productivity, accountability and financial transparency.This study consists of two chapters. In the first chapter of study, event e-government that appeared on the foreground with new public administration comprehension approached in the conceptual level and the purpose, benefits, barriers and effect on public administration of e-government have examined. And in the second chapter, the formation and operation applications of e-government term appeared with the change of comprehension of administration were studied on the example ?Revenue Office of Sakarya? .
