Endeavours for preventing corruption in public administration and ethics: Applications in Turkey

The corruption is as old as human history. At all times people discussed the corruption but today they are disgussing more than the past. Tecnological development and change in the logic of the public administration cause this. Corruption is the biggest obstacle in front of the good governance.Due to this reason, corruption and the ways to block corruption has been reviewed in this study. First, corruption is explained in general terms, and then the types of corruption are examined. The corruptions such as bribery and debit are examined in depth. At the same time the corruption like favorism is examined too. One effective way to prevent corruption is ethic. Because of this, in the third part, firstly ethic has been explained in general terms and then we studied on the code of ethics.Finally we understand that; the best way to prevent corruption, is ethical behavior
