Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT In this study, how the camouflage make-up technigues were applied in order to camouflage the permanent spots and scars, the problems encountered in the application and the solution methods were investigated. As a preliminary study conducted to understand the subject in a better way, theoretical information was compiled. According to the studies carried out, it was determined that camouflage make-up, which was a make-up technigue applied to conceal the defects on the face and body, had a high corrective power, was durable to friction and perspiration, and compatible with the skin. The main aim was to form an ideal skin surface for the main make-up by camouflaging the pigmentation and feature defects on the face. It was also determined that camouflage make-up was not only applied on scars from birth, wound scars, defects arising from pigments, burn scars, acne scars, tattoos, moles and post-operational wound scars, but also made use of during the recovery period after dermabration, chemical peeling and aesthetic surgery. Camouflage make-up studies, carried out in seven separate applications, were conducted on vitiligo, active acne, porto wine scars, scars caused by UV rays, wound scars, black spots and open pores. It was put forward that camouflage make-up methods, in contrast to surgical methods which eguip people with their normal appearanee and help them pursue their social lives, was an easy and economical application.
