Interaction of public attitudes towards sports and human rights

The aim of the study is on the interaction of public attitudes towards sports and human rights. The aim of the study is to determine the relationship between gender, age, education level, profession, income level, sports branch and active sports activities in the public. The research method is a descriptive relational survey model in the quantitative research method, as it aims to explain the relationship between the demographic characteristics of the Elazig public opinion on the effect of being interested in sports, living with sports, active sports, personal rights, social rights and solidarity rights. The universe of the research; In 2024-2025, the Elâzığ public constitutes the sample of individuals (n=983) who agree to participate voluntarily. Scale was used as a data collection tool in the study. "Attitude Scale Towards Sports (SYTÖ)" and "Human Rights in Sports Attitude Scale (SİHTÖ)" were used. The analysis of the study data was carried out with the SPSS 26 program. As a result of the study, it was determined that the attitudes of the public towards sports and the human rights attitude scale scores were at a high level. It was determined that the level of attitudes towards sports was higher in male individuals according to gender, and female individuals were higher in human rights attitudes at the level of social rights. It is found that the attitude towards sports is higher than the other age groups of the 18-29 age group at the level of active sports, and the interaction of the attitudes of the 30-39 age group is higher than other groups at the level of social rights and solidarity rights. It was determined that there were significant differences in the level of interest in sports, living with sports, active sports, personal rights, social rights and solidarity rights for the occupational variable, and there were significant differences in all groups except academic staff in the in-group evaluations. It has been determined that the education variable of the public and their attitudes towards sports differ in all sub-dimensions, and the averages of the level of active sports are at a high level. It has been determined that the average of the human rights attitude in sports is high at the undergraduate level in the social rights dimension. It was determined that there were significant differences in all sub-dimensions of the public's sports and human rights attitudes at the monthly income level. In the variable of sports branch, it was determined that the public differed in their attitudes towards sports, the averages of individuals doing team sports were higher than individuals doing individual sports, and there was no difference in human rights attitudes. It has been determined that there are differences in the levels of being interested in sports, living with sports, doing active sports, personal rights, social rights and solidarity rights in the case of active sports, this situation is high in favor of individuals who state that they do active sports (yes), and the variable of active sports affects human rights attitudes in sports and sports. It was determined that there was a positive relationship between the high scale scores, the attitudes of individuals towards sports and their attitudes towards human rights, and a statistically significant effect was found relationally.
