Detection of situations that may prevent the effective use of blood in blood transfusions and nurses ' opinions on this issue

One of the main problems of health in our country is the lack of blood and blood products when there is a need the inadequary in the voluntary blood donation. Therefore, using of blood is as important as getting it this study is made for the purpose of determining the situations which can be obstacle to use the blood active in blood transfusion and taking the nurses opinions in this respect in Atatürk University Research Hospital the data are collected with the couses of wasting blood form and the socio-demoqraphic feature of nurses and suggestion form. The blood which is transfused and the thrown blood in Atatürk University Research Hospital Orthopedics and Travmatology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Hemotology and Pediatric Intensive Care Units and the nurses work in the same units constitute the universe of the research , becouse of the research was made with the cross sectional method. İt's not used any examplification . The most used blood production is erythrocyte with %62,8, the most used blood grup is ARh(+) with %54. %45 of the nurses. Whose opinions were received about wasting of water have suggested that the volition should be made when there is a need, %55 of them have suggested the usage of pediatric bag. All the nurses joined the study has said that there is a waste of blood . As the causes of wasting blood; it's concluded that the first order is unnecessory volition though there is not a high difference between them, the second order is not using pediatric bag.
