Abstract (EN)
In the thesis study, the effect of double-sided semicurcular winglet band type turbulators on the heat transfer and friction factor in the pipe was numerically investigated by using the Ansys-Fluent code program. Three different winglet angles and two different winglet pitch distances were used in each of the turbulators prepared as two different designs, Model-A and Model-B. In the analysis, the Realizable k-ε turbulence model was defined as the turbulence model. Water was chosen as the fluid, aluminum as the pipe and turbulator material. Analyzes were performed between 8000-30000 Reynolds numbers and in three dimensions. According to the results obtained from the analysis, it was determined that the changes in the winglet angle and winglet pitch distance of the double-sided winglet band type turbulators were effective on the heat transfer and friction factor.
