Abstract (EN)
In this study, a two-dimensional numerical analysis forced convection heattransfer in turbulent fluid flow in the entrance region between two parallelplates, equal temperature and constant temperature with in-line ribs, has beeninvestigated. The differential equations that describe flow have been integratedby the Finite Volume Method employing the Fluent Software. Turbulent effecthas been calculated using RNG k-ε turbulent model. Calculation has beenperformed for Reynolds numbers in the range of 10,000-50,000 and for differentgeometric parameters, and for different fluids which has a different Prandtlnumbers. The precise location of thermally periodically fully developed regiondepends on the Reynolds number, module length, and fin?s height and it variesfrom the second to the fourth ribs. Results have demonstrated that increasingPrandtl number, the blockage ratio (h/H), and Reynolds number have increasedthe Nusselt number, but increasing the module length has decreased theNusselt number. Results have also showed that increasing the blockage ratio has increased thefriction coefficient, but increasing the module length and Reynolds numberhave decreased the friction coefficient.
