SPSS 22 package program was used for data analysis. The suitability of the parameters to normal distribution evaluated by ShapiroWilks test. The mean value, percentage, t-test, chi-square test, correlation, Kruskal Wallis, Mann-Whitney U tests and Cronbach alpha coefficient were analyzed in the evaluation of the data. Significance was evaluated at p<0.05. As a result of the study, majority patients (90%) used anticoagulant medication for medical diagnosis, while the continuous drug users (31.40%) in general; aspirin-derived blood thinners. While 95,70% of the individuals using OAC drugs received training on the use of anticoagulant drugs, 4,30% were not trained. In the analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention and control group patients. Oral anticoagulant treatment training program, it was observed that there was significance in the subjects of "time of use of the drug", "when taking the drug is forgotten" and "when the effect of the drug begins in the body".
