Özet (EN)

In this study, along with the introduction of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating process which is the rapidly developing in most of the industrial applications DIN 1.2550 cold work steel used in the coating sector has been compared with those with uncoated, TiN and CrN coated by using PVD technique in order to investigate wear behaviors. The specimens have been prepared identically in the dimension of Ø6x40 mm. The prepared test specimens, after being subjected to thermal treatment, are coated with TiN and CrN by using PVD method. The wear tests have been made by using p,n-on-disk type device with a shear velocity of 2,7 m/s, under the load of 10, 20 and 30 N and at a shifting distance of 8 m. In the testing, 400, 800 and 1200 Mesh SiC emery paper as abrasive. The specimens have been investigated in terms of the mechanical properties such as micro hardness as weel as metallographic investigations such as SEM and EDS.
