Abstract (EN)
II BIOECOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CARP (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1 758) and İN BALIĞI (Capoeta tinea (Heckel, 1843)) OF KAPULUKAYA DAM LAKE (KIRIKKALE) (Ph.D. Thesis) Mehmet YILMAZ GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY July, 1994 ABSTRACT This study was conducted at the Kapulukaya Dam Lake which is located in Mid-Kızılınnak region. Sexual ratios, age compositions, age- length, age-weight, length-weight relations, the increases in rational length and rational weight with growth-equations, condition factors, sexual maturity terms, reproduction periods and egg yield of carp and one of the fishes of economical value in the lake, were determined. Also, with the different depths of a station, representing the lake, the biotic and abiotic elements of ecological surrouding were determined. By using these data, the probable changes in the fish populations were estimated. Finally it was observed that, the biotic conditions of the lake were favorable for fish growth. The quality of the water was good, except the salinity and the most important threat was over hunting without any control.
