Abstract (EN)
The Karabakh War has continued its effects in many areas in various ways from the beginning of the 1990s, when Azerbaijan declared its independence, to the present day. The destruction of this war, in which 20% of the Azerbaijani lands were occupied, was very heavy for the region and Azerbaijan. The migration crisis caused by the Karabakh War and the subsequent crisis in the country's economy severely challenged the country's government. Over the years, great steps have been taken and certain successes have been achieved in minimizing the effects of forced migration and the economic crisis, which are among the problems faced by the country as a result of the war. In this process, the interviews held in different formats for the resolution of the occupation and conflict as a research topic have been at the forefront. However, the life of the people who had to leave their own lands due to the war, and at the same time, the overcoming of the economic problems of a country that has just gained its independence is of great importance. Thus, in this study, the causes of the Karabakh War, the migration policies and migration movements in the region were reviewed, and the economic reflections of the events experienced in this process were examined. Keywords: Azerbaijan, Karabakh, Economic Crisis, Immigrant, Forced Migration, Ethnic Conflict.
