Özet (EN)

At the end of the 20th century, taking advantage of the situation of the Soviet Union, Armenians, with the help of their protectors abroad, claimed again for Nagorno-Karabakh, the ancient lands of Azerbaijan. The Armenian community living in Nagorno-Karabakh, which has political, economic, social and cultural autonomy as a part of Azerbaijan, first refused to submit to the Azerbaijani state and tried to justify it, using the pretext that its socio-economic situation was difficult. Undoubtedly, these territorial demands of the Armenians were prepared long ago on the basis of a careful and comprehensive plan, and they started to be implemented with the propaganda, provocation and pressure of Armenia at the end of the century, as it was in the 20s of the 20th century. The fact that the request for the annexation of Nagorno-Karabakh, historically an integral part of Azerbaijan, to Armenia was not considered an attack on its territorial integrity and sovereignty at the time, worsened the situation. Thereupon, he started an open attack by sending a military unit to the territory of Azerbaijan. As a result, the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and the Lachin, Kelbajar, Agdam, Fuzuli, Cebrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan regions outside its borders were occupied by the Armenian armed forces. Although Azerbaijan has tried to solve the problem peacefully for nearly thirty years, this attempt could not yield any results. And in September 2020, the 44-day war began.
