Abstract (EN)

Migration causing significant changes in the lives of people and communities should not be seen as a simple event socially. The aim of people whom is within the voluntary or forced migration is to attain beter living opportunities. Migration is causing significant changes in social, political, legal, administrative, cultural and economic structure of people and society is one of the indispensable study areas of geography. In this context, We investigated the effects on people and society alongside the causes and consequences of still continuing of the migration occurred from Karakoçan District to abroad starting in 1961. we found out that economic reasons especially lie under a migration towards Belgium in recent times. We have seen that the employees who initially depart with the thought of coming back after earning enough Money to establish a business become Belgium citizens by adapting there hardly. We found out that negative effects of migration that is economically beneficial to Karakoçan District, such as socially cultural degeneration.
