Investigation of the wind energy potential of Karaman city in terms of power for different turbines

In this study, a computer simulation was developed to predict the energy efficiency of a wind türbine for Karaman city, Data used for simulation was belong to year of 2010 for Karaman city and provided from the meteorological station. Five different types of türbine were componed and the best one was obtained by means of energy efficiency. Power volues were estimated with related to the wind speeds by using different programs. Consuquently, the developed simulation model matched the data well close to the measumed findings and it is found to be used for power prediction without any investment. In the first chapter of the study, the subject was introduced and some general information about wind energy was given. In the second chapter, simulation method was presented. In the third chapter, the simulation results were discussed. In the fourth chapter, the quantity of the energy production was calculated. In the final chapter the recommentation was given.
