Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, using the model of the judge advisor system, an experiment was conducted with the participation of undergraduate students. According to the result of study, it was determined that the students weighted the advices given by the expert label at higher rates. It was also observed that the advices provided by the expert label provided an increase in the confidence levels of students' decisions. On the other hand, no significant difference was observed between the weighting ratios of the students' 15. percentile, 85. percentile and median advices. While there was a significant increase in the confidence levels of the students who were offered median advice, there was no significant increase in the confidence levels of those who received extreme advice. This finding supports the fact that use of advice cannot be explained only with advice weighting ratios. It was also found that the students were very successful in evaluating the quality of the advice. It was determined that the basic personality traits neuroticism and openness to experiences affected the advice weighting levels. The level of self-esteem in decision making has a significant effect on the advice weighting ratios. It was also found that careful, avoidant and panic decision making styles affected advice weighting ratios. Finally, it was observed that females weighted advices more than males.
