Abstract (EN)

Purpose of this study is to determine the spiders in the vicinity of the Karasu Stream –which almost entirely crosses the Muş Plain in the East and West direction- were investigated. In this way, the spider distrubution which is significantly descriptive for the Muş Plain was determined. When it's the matter that the Plain is in dried-up situation except from the months of Spring, surroundings of this stream has a crucial role in terms of biomass. Here, even though the limited habitat is being observed, tremendous amount of micro habitat is at stake when the spider size is taken into consideration. The fact that all species have their own predators has a significant role in coping with harmful insects and in agricultural aspects. An intensive study of already examined subjects is determined in terms of systematic and faunistic aspects. Sample collection was carried out in accordance with entomological sample collection methods. Collected samples were stored for examination under appropriate conditions. For the identification of the samples, diagnostic keys in arachnological publications were mostly used. The systematic and faunistic aspects of the samples were determined. At the end of the study, 31 species from 14 family were discovered in the investigation area. Some of them are new records for Turkey. These are Rhysodromus (Schick, 1965); Archaeodictyna (Caporiacco, 1928); Malthonica (Simon, 1898); Zimirina (Dalmas, 1919); Pardosa tenuipes (C.L.Koch, 1882); Archaeodictyna ammophila (Menge, 1871); Zygiella montana (C.L.Koch, 1834); Entelecara congenera (O.P.-Cambridge, 1879); Malthonica lusitanica (Simon, 1898); Zimirina brevipes (Pérez ve Blasco, 1986).
