Abstract (EN)

In this study, Schiff bases were synthesized by oxidative condensation reaction with 3 and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde,vanillin and 2-hydroxy-1-napthaldehyde with 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole. Polyimines were synthesized by polycondensation reaction of these schiff bases. The structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by solubility tests, UV-vis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR techniques. Thermal properties of all the synthesized compounds is also determined by TGA-DTG-DTA and DSC analysis. Obtained compounds, photoluminescence (PL) properties were investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy in the DMF solution. The electrochemical properties of the synthesized compounds were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The electrical conductivity of the synthesized polyimines were measured and showed a typical feature of semiconductor. The number average molecular weight, mass average molecular weight and polidisperslik index of obtained compounds were identified by Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC).Keywords: Carbazole , Schiff Bases, Polyimines, Thermal Properties.
