Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, aliphatic, ether ve aromatic bridging monomers containing carbazole unit were synthesized and polymerized onto ITO glass surface via electrochemical process. The structures of the synthesized beginning compounds and monomers were demonstrated using FT-IR and NMR technique. The structures of the copolymers, which were not soluble in organic solvents were determined with XPS spectroscopy. The copolymerization process was carried out using potentiostat and cyclic voltammetry method. Additionally, the electro active monomers like pyrrole (Py), 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) and thiophene (Th) were used in the copolymerization reactions. The spectroelectrochemical measurements of the polymeric films coated onto ITO surface were performed at the stated potential ranges. The optical contrast (maximum transmittance) measurements were carried out using the same polymeric films according as time. So, the results were dramatically obtained. Moreover, the conductivities of the polymeric films coated onto the ITO glass surface were measured via the four point probe technique. Fluorescence properties of the polymers, which were soluble in organic solvents, were investigated. The thermal stabilities of the monomer and copolymers were determined and the remarkable results were obtained.
