Abstract (EN)

This study aims to investigate the catalytic parameters of hydrogen producted by hydrolysis method and carbon quantum dot supported homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyst structures that are uniquely produced from three different hydrogen sources. For this purpose, carbon quantum dot synthesis was carried out from two organic compound sources by hydrothermal method. Homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyst structures (Co@CQDs, Ni@CQDs, Ru@CQDs ) were synthesized by loading cobalt, nickel and ruthenium metals on these dots in different ways. The synthesized carbon quantum dot and catalyst structures were characterized by TEM, XRD, XPS, ICP-MS, EDX, BET and UV. Following synthesis and characterization processes, the catalytic hydrogen production performance of sodium borohydride, potassium borohydride, and ammonia borane aqueous solutions of each catalyst structure was measured and the reaction kinetics were investigated. Within the scope of the study, 11 unique monometallic catalyst structures based on Co, Ni and Ru metals and supported by carbon quantum dots were synthesized. With three different hydrolysis sources, 30 hydrolysis catalytic decomposition reactions of these catalysts were investigated. As a result of the calculations of the catalyst cycle frequency (TOF) and hydrogen production rates, it was concluded that the catalyst material structure, which showed catalytic effect at very high values, was synthesized.
