Abstract (EN)

Electrical conductive asphalt concrete, (CAC) asphalt pavements are used to anti-icing in highway and airfield pavements. In this study, carbon fiber was added as a conductive component to obtain electrically conductive asphalt concrete. Furthermore, unlike similar studies, lime stone and basalt aggregates were used as fine and coarse aggregates fractions as respectively. Base bitumen was used in Series 1 samples. In order to increase the electrical conductivity, the bitumen used in the study was modified with 14% carbon powder (CP) and used in Series 2 samples. In order to examine the electrical conductivity properties of CAC samples, volume resistivity measurement, thermal dissipation measurement, defrosting performance, and freeze-thaw cycle tests were carried out. Then, Marshall stability-flow, indirect tensile, and Cantabro tests were carried out to examine the mechanical properties of CAC samples. As a result of the study, it was understood that the CAC samples produced could be used in anti-icing, however, the electrical properties of the CAC were largely dependent on the type of mineral aggregate.
