Sustainable management of karina kiddle: Fisheries and environmental interaction

Abstract (EN)

Kiddles, domestic pollution caused by urbanization, agricultural pollution, shallowness of these areas, decrease or absence of fresh water input, overfishing etc. threatened with reasons. In this thesis study, 7 different monitoring stations have been determined for Karina Kiddle in Great Meander delta. In these monitoring stations physical and chemical parameters such as the need for water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, chlorophyll a, suspended solids, ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, copper, cadmium, cobalt, lead, phosphorus, chemical oxygen were monitored monthly in 2019. In addition, heavy metal (mercury, lead, cadmium, arsenic) and pesticide analysis were performed in tongue, sea bass, sea bream and mullet fish caught in the kiddle in September, October and November. In addition, a survey was conducted with the fishermen of the kiddle and information about hunting activities, economic and social structure was obtained. In the light of all these data, sustainable kiddle management planning has been made for the Karina Dalyan, which is located in the Great Meander Delta National Park of Dilek Peninsula.
