Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to examine the effects of career decision-making group guidance program which was created by Doğan (2010) on 10th grade students' levels of career-decision making difficulties. The study was designed in a semi-experimental design with pre-test and post test control group. In this study, students have taken part in experimental group (10 students) and control group (10 students). These students have been selected among 220 students from Istanbul Erkek Lisesi in 2018-2019 education period. As data collection tool, the scale of Career Decision Making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDMDQ) which was originally developed by Gati and Saka (2001b) and adapted to the Turkish adolescents by Bacanlı (2008) were used. As intervention program, career decision-making group guidance program which was created by Doğan (2010) was used. The intervention program, applied on the experiement group, continued 10 weeks. In this process, evaluation of pre-test and post-test was done. The differences were examined with Bonferroni and Mann Whitney non-parametric statistics. Based on the results, it has been observed that career decision-making group guidance program reduces the levels of difficulty in career decision making difficulty on 10th grade students. The results were discussed in terms of similar studies in the literature and some suggestions are made for the future studies.
