Abstract (EN)

Career decisions and plans are, have been and will be one of the top three decions of every person?s life. The decision is about the area that use will spend most of our time during the rest of life is important and must be carefully decided. Before making career decisions an individual should evaluate him/herself and question whether his / her job can meet his/her needs.The aims of this study are to identify the main focus on general future vocational expectations of vocational students studying in the final year, and to research some entity qualifications on future vocational expectations.Choosing an occupation is a gradually recorded long term process, demanding a certain development process. For that reason it is necessary to follow the changes and development of students' decisions, hesitations, and subjects of interests.In this study by identifying the differentiation levels of final year vocational students from the point of future vocational expectations and entity qualifications it is targeted to help students about their future vocational expectations.This study aiming to show the importance of choice of profession in career planning is consisted of three parts. The first part will cover the information on Profession and Vocational Technical Education concepts. The following part will give information on Career Planning and Choice of Profession. The third part focuses on Career Concept and Career Stages. The fourth part will give place to the analyses of the questionnaire that will be applied to the 12th year students in Vocational Schools. The study will be finalized with a review and will also contain results and suggestions.
