The relation between career management and organizational commitment: A comparative study

Abstract (EN)

One of the most important sources affecting the efficiency of the organization is the human. Thus, the effective use of the human factor raises issues such as motivation, career management, organizational commitment, job satisfaction. The organizations, along with the right policies to be developed on these factors and through the correct use of the human factor, will ensure the competitiveness and sustainability. In our study, 22 questions on career management, 20 questions on organizational commitment and 9 questions on demographic structure were asked. The survey was conducted of 118 people in two different organizations, which are Municipal Economic Enterprises and Private Economic Enterprises. In the study, whether there is a significant relationship between career management, career planning, career development, organizational commitment and its sub-dimensions (attitudinal commitment and behavioral commitment) was measured by correlation analysis. And also, whether there is a significant difference between career management systems and organizational commitment, considering the demographic characteristics, was measured by T-test and ANOVA. Moreover, whether there is a difference between the Public enterprises and Private enterprises in terms of Career management and organizational commitment has been intended to examine in this study.
