The relationship of charismatic leadership with organizational commitment: A study on private sector employees

Abstract (EN)

This study aims to investigate the effects of these characteristics of managers with charismatic leadership in organizations on organizational commitment. This study was conducted using quantitative research technique. In the study, the questionnaire method was used to collect data. The sample of the study consists of employees working in different private sectors. Employees in the service sector mostly participated in the research. In this study; It has been found that the charismatic leadership perceptions of the employees affect on their organizational commitment. As a result of the analysis, it was found that ability to unconventional behavior, which are among the charismatic leadership perceptions of the employees, have an effect on their affective commitment. It has been found that there is a relationship between the ability of employees to environmental sensitivity and to action away from the status quo and their continuance commitment. In this study, it was found that the environmental sensitivity and personal risk abilities of the employees affect their normative commitment. As a result, the study shows that there is a relationship between charismatic leadership perception and organizational commitment in some dimensions in private sector employees.
